When girls dream about becoming actresses or singers, I always wanted to be a veterinarian. It was against my mum's plans, who imagined my future in a lawyer office not in in surgery of doctor for animals. I, instead of being elegant attorney, have become a veterinary doctor. Not a vet in a country side (I dreamt of working with farm animals!) but a dog and cat vet.
The story of my first dog is a tale of a great Dane, that supposed to be dachshund. It was just after graduation from high school. My parents went for holidays, and I as a prize for passing the exams was allowed to buy a dachshund. I went to the Skra stadium (it was a big market place in Warsaw in eighties) and I became an owner of a great Dane. It was a 5 month old little bitch suffering from fungal dermatitis and with skin necrosis in the tail. I could not leave her there. She got a name Panda and lived with us 10 years. Dachshunds? Well, they had to wait for better times
The next dog got to us by accident. And not accidentally was not a dachshund. Someone left in our hospital small mixed breed dog with broken pelvis. Misio (that we stared to call him) was cured and stayed with us for 8 years.
My real adventure with breeding dogs started with Dogues de Bordeaux. We worked with my husband as vets for a large kennel of this breed. I was fascinated by these dogs. Together with my mum we bought a first bitch - Gejsza Jasny Grom and year later the next one Lawenda Jasny Grom. Both won championships of Poland. Unfortunately we could not get any offspring from them. Probably we were not brave and persistent enough to have little red dogs. Gejsza passed away in 2002. Lawenda still lives with us and she is probably the oldest Dogue de Bordeaux in Poland.
I tried to breed French bulldogs, but I was not very successful. The bitch Sapka I bought in 1997 appeared to be a beautiful outer space creature. Judges in dog show did not share our opinion about the beauty of Sapka. She did not care and now she rules in our pack.
For a dachshund (as it is proper a long dog) I had to wait long. In 2001 thanks to my colleague I got a first longhair miniature dachshund - Elegantka Corigentia. At home we call her Stelka. This an extraordinary beautiful bitch that has a lot of successes in dog shows. Her brothers Ed and Extraordinary Man Corigentia won quite a lot too. Elegantka gave us first puppies in 2004. Jezyna and Jazz Corigentia are quite known in Polish dachshund world.
From Corigentia kennel I got two more dogs: Grzanka and Guiness (Guzik). The Guiness Owner is my friend Malgorzata.
In 2003 before first children of Elegantka were born I bought wirehaired kaninchen dachshund Quara vom Reinerschllosl. We call her Henia at home.
All dogs give me unforgettable feelings in dog shows and everyday life.
By the end of 2005 I decided to start my independent breeding and there was an ANI MRU MRU kennel establishement.
To the animals in our home different dogs and cats join for longer or shorter period of time. Now we live with Russian blue Cetra, Siamese - White and Canadian Sphynx - Asema. And of course increasing number of daschshunds
